Blog for a ‘CAUSE’

By amitken

You have blogged about your weekend, you have blogged about that wonderful vacation you had, you have blogged about that terrible movie you saw, you have blogged about how hopelessly you have fallen in love, you have blogged about your exciting life in bed,  you have blogged about your broken heart and you have blogged about that silly and funny tag which a fellow blogger passed on to you.

Now it’s time to blog for a cause…

  Say NO to Street Harassment

Blank Noise Project is hosting a Blogathon on Tuesday, 7th March on the issue of Street Harassment. If you do not know about BlankNoiseProject, please make sure you read about this project here and here. (Please read it, it’s worth it.)

This is how you can contribute and participate in the Blogathon:

1) Spread the word. Post on your blogs about the Blogathon and encourage your blog readers to participate as well.

2) Mail blurtblanknoise[AT]gmail.com to confirm your participation.

3) On Tuesday, 7th March’05 blog about Street Harassment. It can be in any form – poetry, text, pictures, testimonials, stories or just your views about the evil of street harassment.

4) Let BlankNoiseProject know that you have participated in the Blogathon.

Awareness and speaking up is the best way to fight this menace. So speak up bloggers! it’s a cause worth blogging for.

Special thanks to Harneet for introducing me to Blank Noise Project, and to Smita for getting me involved with this initiative.

Not only have I not heard of BlankNoiseProject, I have also not heard of Street Harrassment.

Who the hell would want to harass a street anyway? And even if they do, would the street really care?

I’m rolling on the floor here. Forgive me God, please don’t harass my street! :D

    Hi,

Came through the Blank Noise project – and whata coincidence – I had chosen the same post title as yours!

I liked the fact that you have summarised the ways to help in your post.

    Good work done my friend,
